Sidney Hendricks Salomon (1867-1945) was elected to The Lambs as a non-professional member in 1898.
He was born in Manhattan April 21, 1867, a son of David Salomon and Henrietta L. Hendricks; grandson of Haym M. Salomon and Ella Hart. He was from the Haym Salomon family, “the financier of the American Revolution.”
He graduated from Columbia in 1884. During World War I, he was the assistant director of research, Bureau of Research, War Trade Board. Salomon was a member of the American Geographical Society of New York, New York Yacht Club, and the Racquet and Tennis Club.
Salomon died in Nice, France, Feb. 3, 1945. He was 77 years old.
