Francis Anthony is a chef on television.
Francis was elected to The Lambs in 1987. He resigned in 2017.
Called The Love Chef, Francis Anthony is a favorite in the world of television cooking! His on-air story began when he became the first chef to bring cooking instruction to TV news, department stores, and supermarkets. Since then, he has taken the food theme to casino stages, cruise ships … even corporate team-building events! Time Magazine once said he “has a handle on the food explosion,” and years later, he still does.
As a pioneer who married cooking and entertainment, he could be called the grandfather of foodie shows. His on-air appearances helped set the stage for setting tables, something he recommends “should always be done with love.”
A regular on Live with Regis & Kelly for more than 20 years, and now continuing on with Kelly & Michael, The Love Chef regularly informs and entertains audiences around the world with his unique mixture of culinary expertise, genuine humor and personal charm.
The Love Chef is the author of four cookbooks: “Cooking with Love;” “Cooking with Love, Italian Style;” “Cooking Pasta with Love;” and “Low-Carb Italian Cooking.” Due to popular demand (not to mention a passion for cooking), a fifth book is in development. In addition, he’s working on the co-creation of a children’s television show geared toward education about food and nutrition.
He is often featured in national and local media. His “Cooking with Love” column has appeared weekly in many US publications and he makes frequent television appearances to demonstrate his skills and inspire others to cook with love.
The beloved chef earned a solid reputation as a culinary educator through his “Cooking With Love” international Cooking School in New York City, where he offered programs for adults with varying levels of competency as well as a “Little Chefs” program to effectively teach children the love of cooking with thousands of people.
The Love Chef has been known to tell most classes that the art of cooking isn’t just about the food preparation – it’s also about the experience you create for yourself and others. “One of the greatest benefits of cooking wonderful meals is sharing them with the people you love,” he says, flashing his characteristic smile.
His educational experience has been of benefit to many international companies, for which he’s hosted product launches, team building programs, employee meetings and other special events. His corporate client list is a who’s who of blue chip corporate America.
A recipient of an honorary doctor of culinary art degree from College Misericordia, The Love Chef has hosted his products on QVC and the Home Shopping Network, and he is actively being sought for infomercials and commercials.
