The Lambs ® (AKA The Lambs Club) is NOT connected to the Lambs Club Restaurant of the Chatwal Hotel, nor connected to any religious organization.
The Lambs, Inc., is America’s first professional theatrical club. Originally established in London in 1869, then later, in Manhattan in 1874 and incorporated May 10th, 1877. During our 144+ year history The Lambs ® has had 14 homes, and among them a clubhouse at 130 West 44th Street in Manhattan, erected and designed designed by famed architect Stanford White in 1905. At this clubhouse, The Lambs, Inc. (often referred to and commonly known as The Lambs Club, The Lambs Theater, or simply The Lambs) flourished producing many plays and programs rising into prominence within American theater history, and leaving an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. The Lambs ® vacated its historically protected building in 1975 and has since resided at 3 West 51st Street in Manhattan, where it remains a vibrant and active theater club, continuing its historic journey. The historic Stanford White building has since been gutted, remodeled, and is now a Chatwal hotel, within which there is a restaurant/bar called The Lambs Club Restaurant operated by Jeffrey Zakarian. As part of an agreement, the restaurant is required to clearly post a disclaimer in its facility, on any and all advertisements printed or electronic, stating clearly that they are not The Lambs ®. Any claims otherwise, printed, implied or stated, are simply false.

The Lambs, Inc., is proud of its 144-years of uninterrupted service to its membership, which was recognized by the Honorable Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York, marking our anniversary of incorporation on May 9, 2007. The Lambs has also been recognized by Governor Andrew Cuomo in December 2103, and The Lambs received a Papal Blessing in 2000. Our organization proudly continues its legacy as a private club for entertainment industry professionals.
