Ed Begley was born Edward James Begley on Mar 25, 1901 in Hartford, Connecticut. He was elected to The Lambs in 1943 as a Professional Member. His brother, Martin Begley, was also a Lamb, and served as shepherd.
Ed Begley was nominated for one Academy Award, winning for Best Supporting Actor for Sweet Bird of Youth (as Tom ‘Boss’ Finley) in 1962.
Begley Sr. died at the age of 69 on Apr 28, 1970 in Hollywood, and was laid to rest in San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills, California.
