Lyman G. Bloomingdale (1912-1999) was an Army/Navy member of The Lambs, elected in 1943 during World War II. His brother, Alfred S. Bloomingdale, and father, Hiram C. Bloomingdale, were also Lambs. He was an heir to the Bloomingdale’s department store launchd by his grandparents, Lyman and Hattie Bloomingdale. He also invested in Broadway shows. Lyman served in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
Lyman donated a painting by Lamb James Montgomery Flagg from the Dec. 5, 1936, Lambs’ Gambol to the Club.
He is interred in the family mausoleum in Salem Fields Cemetery, Brooklyn.
