William H. Boyd (December 28, 1889 – March 20, 1935) was an American actor later billed as William “Stage” Boyd or William Stage Boyd.

Boyd was elected to The Lambs in 1910. Boyd worked on Broadway, starting in 1909 in The Revellers. Most noteworthy was in What Price Glory 1924-1925 with other brother Lambs. He concurrently worked in motion pictures, 1913-1935. To avoid confusion with the better-known performer working under the same name, William L. Boyd (best known for playing Hopalong Cassidy), Boyd was tagged with the name William “Stage” Boyd to emphasize his experience on the legitimate stage.

Often confused with William L. Boyd, after Hopalong Cassidy took off. READ MORE
