Louis A. Cerutti, restaurateur and owner with his brother, Frank, of Cerutti’s Restaurant at 803 Madison Avenue. He was elected to The Lambs in 1958 as a Non-Professional Member.
Mr. Cerutti, who was born in Italy, went to Paris as a young man to study the art of fine cooking under Escoffier. He worked for the Ritz Hotels in London, Scotland, Buenos Aires and New York from 1910 to 1921, the year he established the restaurant. He retired in 1955. Louis A. Cerutti died Nov. 19, 1961. He was 75 years old.
