Peggy Howard Chane was elected a Theatrical member on 22 May 2015. Peggy is a bi-coastal director and producer, with extensive film, television, and theatrical experience.
She holds a BA in Motion Picture/TV Production from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and is a member of the Visual Artists Guild, National Academy of TV Arts & Sciences, New York Women in Film & Television, ATAS and the Dutch Treat Club.
Chane has been active in developing and directing new plays in New York and Los Angeles. After 6 years at Paramount Pictures on Tom Hank’s Bosom Buddies, TV Movies and Features, she formed her own production company best know for the thriller In the Eyes of a Stranger with Richard Dean Anderson. She will be producing Cynthia Cooper’s play Stones of Tiananmen next year. She is a member of the NGO Global Action to Prevent War, chair of the Visual Artists Guild NYC that champions freedom of expression worldwide, ATAS, NATAS.DTC, NYWIFT, BAFTA.
Peggy directed the New York premiere of a play that starred Lamb Sarah-Ann Rodgers and featured Lamb leslie Shreve and Lamb Scott Glascock as her trailer-trash parents.
