Frank Eakin was elected to The Lambs in 2006 as a Professional Member. He resigned soon after.
Eakin is president of Eakin Films, an independent producer of feature films for young people. He developed the unique Community Model of Moviemaking, based on the principles of community-based theatre programs and his twenty years as a businessman and entrepreneur. Eakin is the founder and executive director of American Young Moviemakers, a non-profit organization which provides professional training, screening venues and internships for talented young filmmakers. In 1999, Eakin received the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Houston, and he has served on the boards of college foundations and prominent youth arts organizations. His kids’ feature film, The Bracelet of Bordeaux, was released in 2007.
