William R. Floyd was a charter member of The Lambs, elected in 1877. He was an actor in the company of Lester Wallack. In August 1878, he was one of the committee members to receive the body of founding Shepherd Henry J. Montague, when his remains were brought from San Francisco to New York for burial. He died in 1880.
