John Aloysioius Meighan, Jr. (1883-1972) was the third Meighan brother to join The Lambs, following in the footsteps of his older brothers, James E. Meighan Sr. and Shepherd Thomas Meighan. He was elected in 1951 as a Non-Resident Member. He sold life insurance.
Meighan was born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 12, 1883. He was the middle child with four brothers and two sisters; his father owned and operated a foundry.
He was a lifelong Pittsburgh resident; he had a local insurance office. He resided in Emsworth, PA.
He married Kathryn Thomas in 1910 and they had three children.
John Aloysioius Meighan, Jr. died April 11, 1972, in Pittsburgh. He was 88 years old. He is interred in the Meighan family plot in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
