Wallach, Samuel H.

Samuel H. Wallach (November 4, 1872-August 31, 1935) was elected to The Lambs in 1909 as a Professional member. He was a stock broker, producer, and manager, and a partner in the 1920s with Lamb John Golden. In 1926 they had a hit with “The Stolen Lady” and “Alias the Deacon,” which scored 300 performances at the Hudson Theatre. In 1933 he was behind “Strange Gods” at the Ritz Theatre.

He was a brother-in-law of Lamb Henry B. Harris, a theatrical producer, who lost his life on the RMS Titanic.

Samuel H. Wallach died on August 31, 1935, of appendicitis. He is buried with his wife, Ida Backus Wallach, in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
