Lauren Yarger was elected a Non-Resident Theatrical member on 11 September 2015. Lauren is a journalist specializing in theatre, and an event planner. She is a member of the Drama Desk (on whose board she serves), Outer Critics Circle, American Theatre Critics Association, League of Professional Theatre Women, Connecticut Critics Circle, Drama League, National Book Critics Circle and the Episcopal Actors’ Guild. Lauren resides in the Nutmeg State. Lauren Yarger covers Broadway and Off-Broadway theater as editor of Reflections in the Light and her reviews are syndicated to numerous sites. She covers Connecticut theater for The Connecticut Arts Connection and the Manchester Journal-Inquirer and is a contributor to BroadwayWorld.com.
She is a voting member of The Drama Desk, The Outer Critics Circle, The American Theater Critics Association and the CT Critics Circle. As playwright and theater producer, she is a member of the League of Professional Women. Yarger has worked in arts management for Masterwork Productions, Inc., The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.
She also is a writer and book reviewer for Publishers Weekly and is a member of the National Book Critics Circle. As owner of The WritePros, she produces events and helps authors create a buzz about their books.
