It is with great sorrow that I report the passing of Lamb Lewis J. Hardee.

I first met Lewis as his student at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where we became friends. It was Lewis who brought me into The Lambs circa 1982, just two years after he joined in 1980. Lewis worked tirelessly to help rebuild the Club, often running events, hosting Gambols and promoting the club he loved.  I remember when I first joined, members would gather on Thursdays in a small room on the 3rd floor (now the WNRC president's office) where we would hear about the fate of past members. Lewis could play piano and had a book of about 20 songs (never in my key) and got a few of us to sing. It was the rebirth of Low Jinks.

Lewis went on to become our Historian, doing great research that led to his book on the Club, titled "The Lambs Theatre Club." Lewis later became the Boy, and the VP of our Foundation. I was privileged to work beside him for many years while he was the Editor of our newsletter, "The Script."

For me personally, he was a great, generous friend who mentored me and encouraged me as a singer, as a writer, and as an officer of The Lambs. He will be greatly missed.
