Oct 20, 2020:  Mitchell Bloom has worked as an associate costume designer on Broadway (including Tony Award–winning designs for Grand Hotel, The Will Rogers Follies, and Les Liaisons Dangereuses). In addition to his long collaboration with Santo Loquasto, he has been the associate to Anthony Powell, Ann Roth, Willa Kim, Bob Crowley, Mark Thompson, and Anthony Ward. He has also been the assistant costume designer on films (Cold Mountain, The Village, and The Good Shepherd), as well as world premieres of dances by Agnes DeMille, Paul Taylor, and Twyla Tharp. Mr. Bloom, an award-winning dog costume designer, is currently assistant staff costume designer at the Metropolitan Opera, a position he has held for the past 12 seasons.
