Where is the Club located?
The Lambs is located at 3 West 51st Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, closer to Fifth. We share space inside the 3 West Club. Check out the Contact page for more info. The Lambs Inc is known as The Lambs’ club.

How much does membership cost?

Where can members dine and drink?
The Club restaurant and bar is on 2M. Check out the Food and Drink page for more info.

Can I stay at the Club?
Yes. The Club has 26 well-appointed guest rooms, each comparable to the best Manhattan hotels.

Will I need a sponsor to join?
Yes, the Admissions Chair can explain the process to sponsorship.

Does the Club have a food and beverage minimum spend?
No. The Club does not require members to spend a given amount per month. There is no requirement to purchase food and beverages as a member.

What is the club’s guest policy?
Guests are welcome at the Club, provided that they are escorted by a current Lambs member, or any of our reciprocating clubs.

Do I need to be a member to book a private party?
No, you do not have to be a member of the Club to host an event here. The Club’s banquet facilities are managed by the 3 West Club, which can handle events in a variety of settings, from small to large rooms. Our clubhouse floor is only for Lambs members. Members get a discounted rate on banquet events.

What time does the Club close?
The Lambs By-Laws state, “The Lambs shall never close.” The Club is open 24/7. For restaurant hours of operation, check out the Food and Drink page for more info.

Can I use my cell phone when at the Club?
While the Club does have specific House Rules for technology usage, there are many areas where members can make calls, check messages, and access WiFi.

What’s the appropriate attire?
The general dress code for the Club is business casual with deviations in a few areas. Blue denim, shorts, and athletic shoes are discouraged. Sport coats are encouraged in the Pub and Restaurant; neckties are not required.

Where can I park?
There is limited street parking and several parking facilities nearby.

Are non-members allowed?
Yes. Guests are welcome to use the Club when accompanied by a member. It is not open to the general public, however non-members may request to visit The Lambs.

Can non-members take a tour?
Yes. Visit our Contact page to submit a request for a tour with our Club Historian.

A member of my family was a Lambs member long ago. What records does The Lambs hold?
Our historical roster of more than 6,700 members is here. Except in the cases of distinguished or famous members, the Club has little information beyond the name and year elected. Contact the Club historian/librarian here.

I have Lambs’ memorabilia in my attic. Do you want it?
Yes. Many donate items to The Lambs. Contact the Club historian/librarian here.

Does the Club offer reciprocal privileges with other clubs?

I went to a restaurant called the Lambs Club. Is this the same?
No. The Lambs has been located in 14 different locations since 1874. From 1905-1974 our clubhouse was on West 44th Street. The Chatwal Hotel bar/restaurant has no affiliation with our Club and borrowed our name. The Lambs has been located inside 3 West 51st Street since 1976.

Does the Club admit women members?
The Lambs was among the first all-male private clubs to admit women, beginning in 1974. Today our membership is almost evenly split with female/male ratio.

How do I receive a member login to the Club website?
Paid-up members will be issued login credentials. Please email the Website Committee in order to request a member login to The Lambs website.

I didn’t get a user ID and password – or – I forgot my user ID or password. What do I do?

How do I add my photo or a bio to my membership directory listing? And update it?
